Feature & Follow Friday #1

I am so excited to be joining Feature & Follow Friday! It only took me 10 months of blogging to get here, lol! Feature and Follow Friday is a weekly meme hosted by Parajunkee and Alison Can Read. The point of #FF is to network with fellow bloggers and get new followers. Each week there is a question to answer to get to know each other. The rules are that you must follow the hosts and each week's featured blogger from each host's site. Write your own #FF post and enter the link into the linky form and then hop around to other blog sites, follow and leave a comment. Easy peasy!

This week's question is:

Q: Activity! Hopefully warm weather for most of us is here soon…so tell us about your favorite outdoor reading spot. Or take a picture.

I live in AZ, so reading outdoors is a little tricky. During the fall and spring, I love to sit outside of a Starbucks and read with a nice latte. Sometimes I will go and sit on my back porch, but my dogs don't like to keep quiet when they are outside and it is hard to read while they are vying for my attention. When I lived in Los Angeles, I had a pool that I would sit by with my book and Discman (yes, there was a time before the iPod) and read. But since I am so fair, I have to slather on the SPF 100!

How about you? What is your favorite outdoor reading spot?

    1. Wow, three kids. I would go crazy and I don't think I would ever be able to read again. You are awesome :)

  2. Welcome to the Follow Fridays! It's only my second one, but I love it.
I actually like some background noise while reading, children's laughter...

    1. I like music in the background. I have a playlist for almost every book that I read. But I can't handle TV, talking, or anything not adding to the story. Thanks for stopping by!

  3. Gosh! My dog won't let me read peacefully either! Your porch sounds lovely. Oh, and Starbucks, how I love that place even though we don't have one in India. I've been to a few outside and it's great!

    1. No Starbucks in India?! I think I would go crazy. What do you have instead? Tea places or anything that resembles a coffehouse? Thanks for following all the way from India!

  4. When I lived in Florida I used to love to read outside but in the summer the sun just is too hot to stay out long. Now that I'm back in Ohio I love to sit outside on my sun porch. Have a great weekend! New follower via GFC

    1. The humidity in Florida was outragous when I was at Disney - in August. But I could see how it would be nice in the cooler months. Plus you had Cuban coffee there!! Thanks for the follow!

    1. Yeah, being fair isn't great for the whole outside thing. I have gotten so many horrible burns that it just isn't worth the hastle to enjoy the outdoors. Thanks for the follow!

  6. I live in AZ too! I almost never read outside unless it's really early or late in the day or have a death wish!

    1. Where in AZ? I am in Tucson and it is not quite as bad as Phoenix, but it is still hotter than Hell sometimes. I don't go out much, but if I do I only go out in the Fall, Winter, or Spring - Summer is just out of the question. Thanks for the follow!

    1. Yeah, and even then I still get burned if I don't reaply every hour. All my makeup has some sort of spf in it too. And that is why I usually stay inside, lol. Thanks for following!
